Abstract

In the field of drug distribution, specifically, The drug attached to an ion-exchange resin(IER) has been used in a number of different contexts. IERs are ionizable, water-insoluble, cross-link, polymers having functional groups. The drug Eperisone is an antispasmodic. In the present research we have discussed about various material and methods that can be utilized in the formulation of Eperisone HCl resinate beads. Different types of evaluation parameters are mentioned below like microcapsule coating extend determination, Determination of Drug content and microencapsulation efficiency, Particle size of Microcapsules, Micromeritics properties of Microcapsules, Drug release kinetics as well as in vitro drug release from microencapsulated formulations. All evaluation parameters were evaluated and the result obtained were satisfactory.

Key word: Ion-exchange resin, antispasmodic, microcapsules, micromeritics properties.
